Proctored Exam/Test
Proctor exam test is a term used to define an online assessment that employs tech-enabled monitoring software to supervise a test-taker from start to finish. A proctored exam uses a combination of video and audio to prevent cheating. It enables candidates to take their exam remotely, at the place of their choosing, provided it is exam-friendly.
A proctor exam/ test Is an online proctored exam supervised by proctoring software using participants’ desktops, webcams, audio, and videos. Software collates data, analyses it thoroughly, and generates a result, informing a proctor about students’ sincerity in taking an exam. A proctor exam/test provides the utmost strictness to an examination drive and eliminates any unwanted incident.
Pilot Aptitude Test
Pilot aptitude tests are assessments undertaken to hire the best pilots for airlines. They are meant to identify the behavioral attributes and cognitive abilities of an aviation pilot who has undergone extensive training to fly an aircraft. A pilot test provides insight into an individual’s personality and ability to fit into the role they are being offered.
A pilot aptitude test is a pre-employment assessment criterion created to evaluate and qualify candidates as an aviation pilot. There are diverse types of pilot aptitude tests that are being utilized by airlines today. While some judge their mental makeup and ability to handle unseen situations through situational judgment questions, some pilot aptitude tests assess the candidate’s abstract reasoning, critical thinking, communication skills, spatial reasoning, and attention to detail.
Psychometric Validity
Psychometric validity refers to an assessment’s potential to evaluate what it claims to measure. This simply means that the high validity of a test guarantees that the test items or questions are closely linked to the test’s intended core focus. A relative concept, psychometric validity is highly dependent on the reliability of the test.
According to Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA, & NCME, 1999), psychometric validity refers to “the degree to which evidence and theory support the interpretations of test scores entailed by proposed uses of tests”. Psychometric validity is an essential component of psychometric testing because it is directly related to the meaning of the test results. Traditional psychometricians bifurcate psychometric validity into multiple validities, like content validity, criterion validity, construct validity, etc. Another school of thought views psychometric validity as a single construct.
