TEAS (In-Person) – Test of Essential Academic Skills
The ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is an educational aptitude assessment that can be used as one component of the selection process for admitting test takers into the College of Nursing.
The ATI TEAS comprises 170 questions, 20 of which are unscored pretest items. Thus, the number of scored questions on which individuals will be evaluated is 150. The total time allotted to complete the test is 209 minutes. The assessment comprises four sections: Math, Reading, Science, and English and Language Usage.
The ATI TEAS allows for the use of a four-function calculator. However, test takers are not allowed to bring their own calculators. A calculator is embedded within the online version of the exam.
Preparation Resources
Test takers may purchase the ATI TEAS study manual through the ATI online store.
The Division of Continuing Education at UCF now offers a TEAS Review program.
The UCF Libraries have also provided the following TEAS study resources:

Testing Accommodations
The Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) collaborates with the University Testing Center (UTC) to ensure that reasonable accommodations are made for students with documented disabilities. Students with disabilities seeking accommodations for placement tests must have approval from the SAS office (407-823-2371 or sas@ucf.edu). Note: test-takers should allow at least two (2) weeks for SAS and UTC to process the accommodation request once the formal request has been submitted to SAS.
Once UTC receives notification from the SAS office of a test-taker’s testing accommodations, a UTC staff member will email the student.
Note: Test-takers seeking to test with accommodations like extended time must schedule their appointment for Monday-Friday before noon.
Testing Cost
There are two separate payments required per test session:
The $70 TEAS assessment cost is paid directly to ATI at the test center on the scheduled test day. This cost is payable by credit card ONLY. The credit card used must have a U.S. billing address and must be brought with you to your test.
The proctoring cost of $40 is paid directly to the University Testing Center via RegisterBlast during scheduling. This cost is non-refundable and non-transferable.
